Commonly Asked Questions

  • I am not in-network with insurance providers and I do not bill insurance; however, I can provide you with a superbill at the end of each month that you can submit to your insurance company. Please call the number on the back of your insurance card to inquire about your out-of-network benefits, reimbursements, and specifics of your coverage.

  • Yes, I do offer virtual/telehealth sessions. These sessions are conducted via a secure video platform, allowing you to receive support from the comfort and privacy of your own space. Virtual sessions are a convenient and effective way to maintain continuity of care, especially for those with busy schedules, limited mobility, or who prefer remote access. If you’re interested in setting up a telehealth appointment or have any questions about the process, feel free to reach out!

  • Yes, I do have a cancellation and no-show policy. I ask that you provide at least 48 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment. Cancellations made with less than 48 hours’ notice, as well as missed appointments without notice, will incur a fee equal to the full cost of the session. This policy helps ensure that I can offer availability to other clients who may be waiting for an appointment. If you have any questions or need to make changes, please feel free to reach out.

  • A standard therapy session is typically 50 minutes long. If you’re interested in longer or shorter sessions, feel free to reach out—we can discuss what best suits your needs.

  • What you talk about in therapy is entirely up to you. This is your space, and you’re welcome to bring in whatever feels important—whether it’s current challenges, past experiences, relationships, emotions, patterns you’ve noticed, or even things you’re not sure how to put into words yet.

Some people come with specific goals, while others simply know they want to feel better or understand themselves more deeply. Wherever you are, we’ll move at your pace, and I’ll be here to support and guide you along the way.

  • Yes, your sessions are confidential. Everything you share in therapy is kept private, and creating a safe, trusting space is a top priority. However, there are a few important exceptions where I’m legally and ethically required to break confidentiality:

    1. If there is a risk of serious harm to yourself or someone else – I may need to take steps to ensure safety.

    2. If there is suspicion of abuse or neglect of a child, elderly person, or vulnerable adult – I am mandated to report this to the appropriate authorities.

    3. If I am required to comply with a court order or subpoena – I may be legally obligated to share information.

Outside of these situations, what you share in therapy stays between us. If you ever have questions or concerns about confidentiality, I’m always happy to talk them through with you.

  • We’ll decide on the frequency of your appointments together, based on what feels right for you and your needs. To start, I typically recommend meeting once a week. Weekly sessions help us build a strong therapeutic relationship and create a consistent space for you to explore and process what’s coming up.

From there, the frequency can shift depending on your goals, progress, and what’s happening in your life. Some people continue weekly, while others may move to biweekly or occasional check-ins over time. We’ll keep the conversation open and flexible so your therapy can grow with you.
